Following our championship win in the Macau regional competition, we are proud to announce that Genetrump's founding team, competing with the "Golden Creation Medicine Co., Ltd." project, achieved further success by winning the "Excellence Award" at the highly competitive Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition Grand Final.
This national-level Grand Final brought together the most elite teams from nearly a thousand projects across five major regions: Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, and Macau. Representing Macau, our interdisciplinary team—comprising Zhe Zhang from the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences, Tong Wu from the Faculty of Business Administration, Ryan Fang from the Faculty of Law, and Baoyuan Ma from the Faculty of Social Sciences—presented our innovative project under the invaluable guidance of Assistant Professor Chunming Wang of the University of Macau and our external mentor, Dr. Minchuan Wang.
Our core project, "Golden Creation Medicine," is an innovative medical dressing that leverages the research power of the State Key Laboratory of Quality Research in Chinese Medicine at the University of Macau. It uniquely combines traditional Chinese medicine formulas with modern nanotechnology. The polysaccharide extracts from medicinal herbs like Bletilla striata and Eucommia ulmoides contained in our product not only effectively absorb wound exudate but also offer multiple benefits, including hemostasis, reduction of swelling, and significant promotion of wound healing.
Receiving this honor on a national stage was a resounding validation of our team's collaborative strength and our project's commercial potential. It greatly reinforced our determination to transform the "Golden Creation Medicine" concept from a university project into a market-ready reality, ultimately leading to the establishment of Genetrump.
